Veterinary Receptionist Part Time

If you love animals and giving great customer service, then this could be the job you have been looking for! An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a part-time receptionist, working at our Veterinary Hospital in Windsor.

We are a privately owned veterinary group focusing on very high standards of patient and client care, provided by an enthusiastic and supportive team.

The role requires passion for the welfare of animals and a basic understanding of their care, although specific training will be given where required.

Hours are 8.30am to 6pm on Thursdays and 8.30am to 7pm on Fridays plus one in approximately every 4 Saturdays, 8.15am to 12.30pm.

Candidates must be genuinely interested in an ongoing part-time role but ideally have the flexibility to cover additional hours for colleagues holiday cover.



A uniform is provided. Pro rata of 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.

Applications must clearly detail relevant customer service experience, any experience with animals and detail why you are interested in the role.



Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in customer service, both over the phone and face to face.

Applicants must be computer literate.

The role requires compassion and the ability to stay calm in a busy or difficult situation.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:



Answer incoming calls and greet customers quickly and efficiently and in a polite and friendly manner Arrange, book and amend client appointments Ensure all client records are maintained Manage calls and queries from customers to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction Process payments from clients relating to their pets treatment or prescriptions Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times and that all stock is correctly priced and displayed Process insurance claims and carry out other administrative duties Manage outgoing post
Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:

Maths and English GSCE Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Computer literacy Customer service experience Organisational and time management skills
The role reports to the Practice Manager and includes interaction with all members of staff and our clients.

Part-time hours: 18 hours per week plus one Saturday morning in four

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
