We are looking for a brilliant, enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist to join our front of house team. This role is fast-paced within a friendly team with no two working days the same, so we are looking for a calm and committed person who enjoys a challenge and works well under pressure.

Penmellyn Vets is a six-site practice based in mid-Cornwall. We truly believe that this is the best part of the country, with sunshine (sometimes), amazing coastline (always) and lovely people! We have a central hospital in St Columb Major, surrounded by satellite surgeries in St Austell, Newquay, Pool, Bodmin and Padstow. We believe the front of house team plays a key role in our clients and patients' experience, the friendly and caring voice on the phone and the warm welcome when our clients arrive.

The perfect fit

Our ideal person will have:
Good communication skills, both verbal and written Be kind and approachable Love Animals (of course) Background in the Veterinary/Animal Care sector preferred but not essential


Your shift pattern



This is a part-time role working 21 hours per week, covering 2 full days (10 hr/day), with a share in the weekend rota 1:4 Saturday Shift.
