E.C. Straiton & Partners are seeking a compassionate and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the booking system efficiently to optimise the daily schedule. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care advice. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date within the system. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised, creating a pleasant environment for clients and their pets.

Skills

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly advantageous, providing familiarity with animal care protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions. Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes.
