Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, organised and compassionate veterinary receptionist to join our busy and caring veterinary practice.
As the first contact and front of house team member, the successful candidate will be expected to always conduct themselves in a professional, calm and polite manner, this includes when under pressure and in stressful situations. They will be representing the team and setting high standards that follow through the practice. They will be responsible for the prompt and efficient answering of the telephone and guiding our clients towards a consultation in a timely manner.
Core Responsibilities:
*Welcoming clients and their pets in a professional and friendly manner
*Answering phone calls and email enquiries
*Booking appointments and managing the diary system
*Handling payments and basic financial transactions
*Maintaining accurate client and patient records
*Supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks
About you:
Excellent communication and customer service skills, must be engaging and, importantly, also a good listener
Effective organisation and time management
IT literacy
The ability to remain calm and relay accurate information, even when under pressure
Resourcefulness, initiative, and a willingness to look for solutions to problems
