About the Role
As one of the first faces our clients see, your role as a receptionist is pivotal to the smooth running of the practice. You'll work alongside our Head Receptionist to provide a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience, while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in veterinary reception work - someone who understands the unique demands of this role and who takes pride in offering calm, capable and compassionate service in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcoming clients and their pets in person, by phone, and online
Managing bookings, payments, and administrative tasks with accuracy and care
Coordinating communication between clients and clinical staff
Supporting insurance claims, maintaining GDPR compliance, and handling sensitive information
Keeping reception and consulting rooms tidy and well-stocked
Responding to client queries via phone, email and social media
Assisting the clinical team as needed with practical, hands-on support
What We're Looking For
A minimum of
2 years' experience in a veterinary receptionist role
Confident computer literacy and comfort with veterinary software systems
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic manner
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A mature, professional outlook and a desire to be part of a small, stable team
