Do you have a passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working with animals? Rowe Veterinary Group are looking for a receptionist to work across both our small and friendly practice in Wotton-under-Edge, and our dedicated cat only practice in Brimsham. As a valued member of the reception team you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners. The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient with a welcoming and sympathetic manner. In addition, they will have excellent customer service skills, proficient knowledge of IT, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a love of animals

The role

You will be responsible for greeting our clients and their pets in a professional and courteous manner, booking, cancelling, and changing appointments, and dealing with queries by phone, email, and face-to-face promptly and professionally. The role also involves advising clients on our preventative healthcare products, promoting Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance, dispensing medications and prescriptions, taking payments, cashing up, and carrying out general administrative and reception duties.

More about you

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of office-based experience and a good level of education, with at least five GCSEs at grade C or above. You must be reliable with excellent time management skills, possess a professional and caring telephone manner, and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent customer service skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong numeracy and literacy skills, and a high attention to detail are also essential.

Your shift pattern

This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week. Your shifts will entail: Monday Off, Tuesday 8 am - 2 pm Wotton, Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm cat clinic, Thursday 1-7 Wotton, Friday 10-7 Wotton. Sunday at Bradley Stoke (1 in every 4 weekend, working 8 am - 5 pm)
