We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing excellent customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, alongside exceptional communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and vaccination details.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Provide information on pet health care products and services to clients.
Handle client concerns with empathy while maintaining a calm demeanour during busy times.
Experience
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal communication skills, coupled with a friendly and approachable attitude towards clients and their pets.
Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
