4-day week | True 24/7 hospital caseload | Visa sponsorship available
If you want your clinical skills to genuinely change outcomes
If you are a Veterinary Surgeon who wants your work to matter, not just tick boxes, this role offers the chance to practise high-quality medicine for pets who truly need it, while still protecting your own wellbeing.
The Opportunity
We are working with a 24/7 veterinary hospital in Bolton that has built something quietly remarkable. This is a practice designed around access to care, clinical integrity, and sustainability, not profit at all costs.
You will join a growing, purpose-led team, providing affordable first-opinion care alongside referral-level surgery, supported by a busy A&E department. The caseload is varied, medically interesting, and often complex, with a strong emphasis on sick and injured patients who would otherwise struggle to access treatment.
This is a role for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys diagnostics, values teamwork, and wants to remain grounded in first-opinion practice while benefiting from hospital-level support and facilities.
Why This Role Is Different
A caseload that keeps you engaged
You will see a broad mix of emergency, medical, and surgical cases, with exposure to referral surgeries alongside first-opinion work. This balance keeps your diagnostic skills sharp without losing the continuity that makes general practice rewarding.
A hospital built for collaboration
You will work alongside experienced vets and nurses in a true hospital environment, with 24/7 support and an established A&E function. You are never isolated, and complex cases are managed as a team.
Values that shape real decisions
This organisation operates as a Community Interest Company. Their mission is simple and lived daily, no pet should go untreated or face euthanasia when a viable option exists. Free consultations and transparent pricing remove barriers to care and allow you to practise ethically and confidently.
