An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for a Veterinary Surgeon to become part of our friendly and supportive team here at Isle Vets. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding care to our clients and their pets, and we're seeking a driven vet with at least two years of experience to join us on this journey.

This role is based on a four-day week up to 40 hours, with just 1:3 Saturday mornings and 1 night per week on call. Although full-time, we're happy to discuss part-time hours for the right candidate. A Role That Matches Your Interests

In this role, you will enjoy a good balance between consulting and operating on a variety of routine and urgent cases, although we can accommodate a consult only role should this be of interest. Our work includes dentals, orthopedics, thyroidectomies, scans, brand new DR x-ray machine, varying soft tissue surgeries, endoscope, all within our state of the art lab with huge numbers of tests run in house.

We are a busy first opinion practice who see a wide variety of cases. We have a purpose-built building in the lovely rural area of Ely, Cambridgeshire, with a large range of veterinary equipment such as a brand-new x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and dental x-ray. We have an experienced and supportive team who work together to create a positive working environment. Our team is the best thing about us, we really are like a family!

A Team That Feels Like Family

We have a 6-vet team, all general practitioners with their own areas of interest with enhanced knowledge within these areas, including diagnostic imaging cert, a visiting orthopedic surgeon & ECC Nurse, with more studying towards their certificate something we actively encourage in practice. The vets enjoy discussing cases of interest amongst themselves and use each other's knowledge to enhance patient care. There is a visiting orthopaedic specialist who visits regularly, that our vets have the opportunity to be involved with. We have a 8 nurse team, again they have areas of interest, with nurses specialising in wound care, ISFM certificate and Emergency and Critical care.

We're proud to work closely with local charities such as WGAS and the RSPCA, as well as exclusively with Cats Protection Ely and Downham Market. These partnerships give us the opportunity to provide care across a wide variety of cases, adding real variety and meaning to the work we do every day.
