We have a part-time opportunity, offering great work life balance, for a committed vet to join our friendly team at Isle Valley Vets.

We are a busy first opinion, RCVS accredited, village practice and our fantastic team are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and clients.


The practice has modern facilities allowing us to offer a high-quality service including sophisticated diagnostics, in-house laboratory and comprehensive inpatient care.


We have a visiting ultra sonographer and run outpatient clinics weekly.


We are also lucky to have our very own in-house behaviourist!


We're proud to hold GOLD level cat friendly status, meaning we have been highly recognised by the International Society of Feline Medicine.


Sustainability is a large focus, and we run a TerraCycle recycling scheme allowing us to recycle our pet food, plastic packaging, medicine blister packs and PPE.

The Role:

We're looking for a confident vet comfortable withsole charge work including routine surgeries.

Salary - dependent on experience FTC (Maternity Cover) - January 2026 - October 2026 Part-time - 2 weekdays and a 1-in-4 Saturday mornings Hours - weekdays 8:30am until 18:30pm, Saturday mornings 8:30am-13:00pm No OOH or on-call

We're an experienced, supportive, and welcoming team that works collaboratively across all areas of the practice.


Our team typically includes:

4 part-time Vets 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses 1 Behaviourist 2 Receptionists 1 Practice Manager

We are 5 miles west of Yeovil, based in the beautiful, community rich Somerset village of Stoke-Sub-Hamdon there is a wealth of things to see and do in your downtime. Whether you like hiking, cycling, historic sites or eating out this area really does have it all!
