About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped
Tier 3 RCVS-accredited Hospital
in
Leicester
. Both
full-time and part-time applications
are welcome, with flexible working patterns and rota options to suit your lifestyle.
You'll work
40 hours per week
over
4 or 5 days
, with a
1:4 Saturday rota
(8:30am-2pm) and
occasional Sunday shifts
(8am-7pm, paid extra). There's
no out-of-hours
, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
The role offers flexibility to focus on
inpatient care
or
surgery
, depending on your interests. Consulting and operating time are balanced equally, with protected time for case workups and professional development.

Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon (minimum
2 years in general practice
) who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering high-quality clinical care. You should be comfortable with:
Routine neutering (including flank spays)
Abdominal ultrasound, TFAST and AFAST imaging
Exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, gastrotomy, and enterotomy
Routine consultations and dental procedures
Whether you're an all-round GP vet or wish to specialise further, your career aspirations will be supported through tailored CPD and mentorship.
