Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon looking for a rewarding opportunity? Join our dedicated team at Town and Country Vets, working across our three well-equipped practices in Blackburn, Clayton-le-Moors, and Whalley.
What you'll do
Your role will involve a blend of consultations and surgeries, managing patient care from start to finish, including some sole charge responsibilities. You'll have the chance to make a real difference, building strong relationships with both clients and their pets.
Flexible working to suit your lifestyle
We understand that life outside work matters. Whether you prefer a fixed schedule or a more flexible pattern, we're committed to helping you find the perfect balance. Our full-time vets typically work four full days a week, enjoy a weekday off, and participate in a Saturday rota (1 in 4/5 Saturdays) with a day off in lieu.
Best of all, there are no out-of-hours or bank holiday shifts, supporting your work-life harmony. We're also open to discussing part-time arrangements to meet your needs.

Many of our staff have grown with us over the years, reflecting our welcoming culture and dedication to professional development. "Town and Country is a great place to work, you will find us a friendly and helpful bunch, with advice and support from all the experienced team, management, receptionists, nurses and vets. We have a few members of staff who have been here for many years, some have trained with us and stayed with us, the longest being 30 years! I myself started on reception in 2006, then was made administrator and then was promoted to Office Manager. I left for a brief spell of 18 months in 2021 due to a restructure, I missed working at the practice and with the team, in 2023 I had the opportunity to return as Practice Manager and did so. The team welcomed be back with open arms, it was great to be back in practice"
