At the Gatehouse Veterinary Centre, we are small animal and an Exotic practice with 3 branches. These range across from our Borras branch in Wrexham, to our Wayside branch over in Chester. The main branch is located at the lovely village of Lavister, in between both branches. Which is situated on the rural border of England and Wales, with easy access to both Liverpool and Manchester.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. The role is full time 38.5 hours a week, we have fixed days/ shifts each week, with a 1:7 Saturday clinic. We are open with our flexible approach to the rota pattern for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for a clinician wishing to continue developing their own skills. Whether you'd like to deepen your expertise in a particular area, gain new skills, or explore a certificate, we'll support you in developing your clinical interests in a way that complements and strengthens our team.

What we offer:Salary up to 75,000, depending on experience No out-of-hours or Bank holiday work Full-time or part-time options, with flexible working considered 1 in 7 weekends (Saturday consultations only, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, with any inpatients) Protected admin time, catch-up periods, and consults ending at least 30 minutes before the end of your shift.


The Team

Our team currently consists of 7 experienced vets and 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), who have taken a hands-on role, running their own clinics. We truly value nurse-led initiatives and the integral role our RVNs play in patient care.

We are a proud to say, a training practice, with another 2nd year student vet nurse, with 3 of our RVN's being home grown
