Veterinary Surgeon Small Animal

Penicuik, SCT, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are a well established 3-branch small animal clinic on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time veterinary surgeon to join our team in Penicuik. Penicuik is a branch surgery consisting of 1 RVN and 5 Veterinary surgeons (part time) working alongside a 3 person administration/reception team.

Our practice is well equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound (including echo) and in house lab. We offer laparoscopic spays and orthopaedic surgeries at our main surgery in Musselburgh. Client and patient care are our main focus and we do that by offering a friendly and supportive environment to work in.

We have a wide variety of cases and the role will involve a mixture of surgery and routine consultations along with routine diagnostic case workups. We have a great balance of experienced vets and RVNs and those who are more recently qualified.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week currently worked as a 4-day week. Part time would be considered. The role also involves 1 in 7 weekends (daytime only) with a day given off in lieu for a weekend worked in line with our work-life balance ethos. Our out of hours work is outsourced locally.

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who believes in the importance of teamwork as much as we do. CPD is encouraged and funded. We offer a competitive salary, exclusive company discounts, reward schemes and career development.
