Veterinary Surgeon - Full Time - 35 hours per week

Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire


We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our lovely team at Sutton-in-Ashfield Vets4Pets!


We are conveniently situated close to junction 28 of the M1, with various public transport links to the town centre.


This is a great chance for an ambitious vet to benefit from the knowledge and skills of our experienced colleagues in the practice. You'll be working with practice owners Stephanie Cochrane and Faye Padley, who opened the surgery in 2014. Stephanie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2011 and has completed a certificate in Exotic animal practice. Faye qualified as a Nurse in 2016 and has been with Vets for Pets since 2011 working at various practices. She joined Sutton in Ashfield in 2018 as Head Nurse and then went on to become joint practice owner in 2019. You will be one of a warm and friendly team of 4 vets, 7 RVNs, 4 client care advisors and Practice Manager. We are an enthusiastic teaching practice and often have addition SVNs and vet students on placement.


Join us and you'll have access to state of the art equipment including a full laboratory suite, digital radiography, high tech ultrasound machine with a cardiac probe, ECG and tonopen.


Our ideal vet will have experience in all routine surgeries and be capable of sole charge, although this is very minimal. Support with any non-routine procedures will be happily given. We also welcome application from vets with advanced qualifications and can offer an increased salary to reflect this. This is a full-time role working 35 hours a week including 1 in 4 Saturdays' (9am - 5pm) but you will be happy to know that there is no OOH! You will receive a regular day off each week, which is the same day every week.
