Welcome to beautiful Thamesmead! This refurbished first opinion practice is looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join the team on a full-time basis, playing a pivotal part in this popular practice just south of the river.

About your new role!

Our cat friendly Thamesmead branch has gone from strength to strength over the last two years. Following a recent refurbishment, the practice has enlarged the two consult rooms for their team, added a large, streamlined pharmacy and have provided a more comfortable and welcoming reception area for our clients with separate dog and cat waiting areas.



You will be working alongside a highly experienced senior vet, and incredible support team including RVNs and trainee nurses.



You will also be fully support by a dedicated regional manager, and a 24-hour Goddard Hospital that will provide OOH services for your patients.



If you wished to develop your keen interest in feline medicine further or any other area, we would be more than happy to support you in this with our generous CPD allowance.

Your rota consists of a 4-day week with Wednesdays off, and an early finish on Fridays. Your average weekly hours are inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Wanstead Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead and be included in the last resort on-call rotation.

Thamesmead is located near Abbey Wood station, which is on the stunning new Elizabeth line, and will take you to every part of London you may need! It is also a short train journey from beautiful Blackheath Village which in just 30 minutes transports you to what feels like a period drama set complete with independent shops, beautiful restaurants and plenty of green space.

The salary band for this role is

45,000 to 61,000 FTE

depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
