Veterinary Technical Advisor



Package:

35,000 pa with excellent benefits including 24 holiday days (plus your birthday) 2 days off for charity work, Group life assurance and heath care cash plan.

Location:

We offer the opportunity to work completely from home within the UK, be office based in Borehamwood, or split your time between home and office.

Fulltime:

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday hours of 8.30am - 5.00pm, with one day a week of 9.30am - 6pm after training is complete

Start Date

: March 2nd 2026, must be available for the full 4 Weeks remote training from the start date.

, you'll play a key role in ensuring our insurance claims are processed with accuracy, empathy, and fairness--helping deliver excellent outcomes for our customers and their pets.

Here's what you'll be getting up to as a

Veterinary Technical Advisor



Reviewing pet insurance claims from start to finish, ensuring treatments are appropriate and costs are fair. Supporting Claims staff by providing veterinary expertise and reviewing complex or high-value cases. Liaising with internal stakeholders and our in-house Vet for clinical clarification when needed. Providing technical support to teams across the business, including Customer Service, Underwriting, and Policy Services. Assisting with investigations, fraud detection, and claims process improvement initiatives. Responding to queries from customers and veterinary practices via phone and written correspondence. Promoting a positive image of Pinnacle Pet Group and ensuring all interactions reflect our values of care, trust, and integrity. Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying risks, trends, and areas for process enhancement.

What you'll bring:



A recognised Veterinary Qualification (e.g., BVSc, BSc, or RVN) Experience as a qualified Veterinary Nurse or equivalent clinical background Excellent communication skills and a confident, empathetic approach to customer interaction Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently High attention to detail and sound decision-making skills Comfortable working to deadlines and service standards Proficient with Microsoft Office and confident using digital systems
