How you'll make an impact



Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Governance & Risk Management Services within Artex Capital Solutions ("ACS"), the VP, Client Risk Management Consulting ("CRMC") is responsible for developing risk management and governance frameworks for clients of Artex Capital Solutions (ACS). The role will be dedicated to identifying, assessing and supporting clients in meeting their regulatory obligations and protecting their organisation's capital and earnings. The role will involve business development activity to win engagements from client companies to review, implement and advise on risk management and governance frameworks, as well as providing training and monitoring new and upcoming regulations in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.



About you



Essential Duties:Supporting the Head of Corporate Governance & Risk Management Services in developing the strategy for growing ACS's Risk Management Services across Bermuda and the Cayman Islands Meeting with clients and generating new business opportunities Drafting policies, procedures, internal checklists and template documents to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements on behalf of the client companies Conducting Insurance Code of Conduct Compliance gap analysis, board evaluations, compliance training and developing new review processes to assess regulatory compliance to support client boards in managing regulatory and business risks Horizon scanning to address any new local and international compliance risks as well as any changes to the legal/regulatory landscape that may impact the client companies and identifying opportunities to provide insights to client companies to generate revenue for the pillar Leading on the maintenance of client companies Risk Appetite Statements and Business Risk Oversee the AML/ATF reviews of client risk assessments and high-risk relationships by the service teams including any enhanced due diligence requirements Monitor completion of the client risk matrix and results of client risk profile reviews Act as Compliance Officer to Artex-Managed entities Assisting colleagues within Artex globally, in developing and implementing new global and local AML tools and processes, working with: + ACS Sales, Analytics and Advisory team to provide solutions to client companies
+ ACS Head of Risk and Compliance in the execution of strategic and operational initiatives
+ Client service teams to deliver complete and accurate client deliverables
+ ACS Chief Legal Officer to develop best practice frameworks and scanning of local and international compliance risk developments
+ The wider Artex compliance teams based in other jurisdictions, to share knowledge, manage group compliance resources, and oversee delegated compliance activity


Business management responsibilities:Attendance as a member of client risk committees Reporting to and advising client boards Supporting with any BMA onsite inspections and ad-hoc reviews of client companies Liaise with the wider Artex compliance team and monitor adherence to Artex policies and procedures at all times

Proven Ability:Confident, strong communicator in a variety of settings including client board meetings (written and verbal) 5 years' experience in similar risk management or compliance role (either in-house or advising clients in practice) Advanced Certificate/Diploma level ICA, CAMS or equivalent, or experience working as a regulatory lawyer would be advantageous Business development experience advantageous High level of integrity, attention to detail and computer literacy Highly organized and flexible in maintaining high quality work in a fast paced, changing environment * Open to continual development in relation to risk management, regulatory compliance and ESG development
