Job Description

Custody Business function aims to expand Bank of China (BOC) Group's network of UK sub-custodians to increase BOC London Branch's Assets under Custody, while also collaborating with other market infrastructure providers (ICSDs) to build BOC London Branch's market capabilities. The function is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Pricing and Operations Processing.
The Custodian Services team is responsible for the safekeeping and administration of financial assets, primarily by financial institutions like banks or trust companies, on behalf of individuals or institutions. As a Vice President - Custody Systems Management, you will provide technical support and develop the function's systems in line with regulatory requirements, clients' demands and internal requirements. This is a full time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Head Office's IT departments and local IT Centre to implement system upgrades
  • Liaise with Central Clearing Counterparties (CCPs) and third-party vendors to align system functionalities
  • Manage custody service related system parameters
  • Maintain custody service related system user management
  • Support with development of business continuity plan
  • Prepare and conduct system tests
  • Assist with system trainings for internal staff
Requirements
  • Degree level educated in Computer Science, IT or other relevant subject
  • Solid experience within Commercial Banking or Custodian Services
  • Expert in SQL and database systems
  • Experience in maintaining system operations (e.g. CSD/ICSD systems)
  • Experience in analysing client's needs for system improvements
  • Knowledge of SWIFT connectivity
  • Familiarity with clearing and custody service related systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Visio applications
  • Fluency in Mandarin is desirable
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to multi task and to work in a fast paced environment whilst being able to deliver with high quality
  • Attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
