Northern Schools Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the role of Vice Principal (Academic) at North Liverpool Academy.

The Vice Principal (Academic) has overall responsibility for the academic life of the academy. The role involves direct responsibility for curriculum, pedagogy and academic outcomes, as well as the line management of assistant principals, heads of department and members of support staff, as determined by the Trust Leadership Matrix. The Vice Principal (Academic) is the academy's link with the Central Education Team and Teacher Development Centre at Northern Schools Trust.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Vice Principal (Academic) is responsible for overseeing the effective running of the school and ensuring that the highest academic and professional standards are maintained at all times. The Vice Principal (Academic) reports directly to the Principal, and deputises as required. The role will suit a talented, experienced and passionate senior leader who has recent experience of school-wide academic leadership, who is deeply committed to the trust's vision for education and who can demonstrate substantial impact in their current role.

They will be experienced in raising academic standards through outstanding curricular and pedagogical leadership. They will be a visible, energetic and principled leader who is experienced in the management of change and who is able to develop high-performing teams. They will possess excellent interpersonal and ambassadorial skills, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to inspire confidence in teachers, students, parents and other stakeholders.
