Over the past few years, we have experienced significant growth, with our income increasing by over 13%. Our achievements include being named Hays Employer of the Year, Pearson BTEC College of the Year, and receiving a Beacon Award. We have invested in state-of-the-art facilities and fostered an innovative, inclusive, and supportive culture to ensure that we achieve our vision of being a college where everyone exceeds their potential.
The Role:
Reporting to the Principal and CEO, the post will lead on all aspects of adult provision, with particular focus on leading Apprenticeships, Higher Education and Adult/ Community Learning. The breadth, variety and wealth of opportunities within the provision are exciting, and there is ample opportunity to bring your own ideas, lead new initiatives, develop and diversify our offer, and further establish a high profile in the region.
We have a well established, highly impactful adult offer which extends across Oxfordshire, with the second largest tailored learning contract in England. Our sizeable apprenticeship provision, currently graded as Outstanding, has grown consistently and sustainably in recent years. We have many impactful partnerships with local employers, while there is strong ongoing demand for our specialist Construction Skills Centre. Our HE offer, which includes degrees delivered in partnership with Oxford Brookes University, has excellent potential to grow and develop further.
Key Responsibilities:
You will provide strategic direction and overall leadership of Apprenticeships, Higher Education and Community/Adult Learning across the whole college, ensuring that our offer is innovative, relevant and responsive to the needs of students, employers and the wider community. You will maintain the highest possible quality and outcomes, while overseeing a superb student experience. In addition, as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the formation and delivery of the college's strategic plan and champion its ethos of teamwork and excellence.
About You:
We are looking for a motivational leader with a track record of successfully managing high performing curriculum areas, with direct experience in at least one of apprenticeships, higher education or community / adult learning. Key strengths will include external relationship building and innovative, responsive curriculum design at a strategic level. Ambition and passion to enrich lives across our local communities is of key importance, as is the ability to develop and motivate our talented staff.
If this opportunity excites you, we would love you to discuss it further with Bernie Cullen, our retained consultant. There will also be an opportunity to have a further conversation about it with our Principal and CEO. We warmly invite you to apply.
