About the role

We're looking for a Video Producer to join our editorial video team on a

12-month fixed-term contract

.



This is a great opportunity for a visual storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment and is confident filming and editing video content that engages, informs and excites our audiences.



You'll play a key role in producing high-quality video for PA's multimedia customers, covering major breaking stories, entertainment events and key moments across the UK and beyond.



Based from our Paddington office, you'll collaborate with a talented team of producers and reporters and have the chance to make a real impact with your work.

Key responsibilities

Film high-quality video content, both live and edited, across a range of events and locations Edit compelling and creative video packages using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects Work under pressure to produce accurate and engaging content quickly Manage and administrate video content including headlines, captions and metadata Respond to customer and internal queries about video content Support the team in ensuring consistent editorial and technical quality

What you will need

Professional experience filming with Canon and Sony broadcast cameras Proven ability to edit video quickly and creatively using Adobe Premiere Pro Strong understanding of video production, news storytelling and audience needs Excellent editorial judgement and grasp of grammar, SEO and metadata Good knowledge of current events, especially in news, sport and entertainment Experience working with a video CMS and understanding of UGC and verification Degree in video production, video journalism or equivalent experience Knowledge of media law and compliance in video journalism (desirable)
