Role Overview

We work with some of the UK's fastest growing DTC and subscription brands including Years, MuscleFood, Prepped Pots and Elbow Grease.

As a Video Editor, you will form part of a creative team of 4 to craft short form and social-first video and motion/animation ads for our clients to deploy across paid and organic social channels.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations



Daily



Shooting short form video on DSLR. Being confident to request multiple takes when required and working to a tight brief, script and shot list. Rendering video assets using AI models such as Google Gemini Veo 3 and Open AI's Sora Editing footage, b-roll and audio together in Premiere Pro using transitions, pacing, cuts and editing styles that match the audience profile and channel best practice (TikTok & Meta) Exporting for various aspect ratios for TikTok & Meta (9:16, 16:9, 4:5) Working with the creative strategist to build sets, source location and develop art direction for new paid and organic social videos Working proactively and efficiently to ensure we are working ahead of timeline, and occasionally going above and beyond to hit last minute deadlines Quality controlling assets to ensure all work is exceptional paying attention to layout, spelling/grammar and maintaining brand standards

Experimenting with different versions/options (e.g. varied layout, editing techniques and unique hooks) to help hit Meta's creative diversity requirement Taking big creative swings and experimenting with animation, SFX, typography and innovative design Staying abreast with client video ad results; covering hard metrics (ROAS/CPA, spend, revenue) and also soft metrics (thumb stop rate, hold rate, engagement and CTR) to understand what's working and what's not - building on winners Providing weekly updates on your workflow and maintain a project management system to ensure visibility deadlines and progress

Monthly



Engaging in training and mentorship to enrich your creative skillset and knowledge of paid social creative Deepening your knowledge of social creative trends, video editing principles and innovative technologies and tools Willingness to contribute to ad hoc videography, photography and editing tasks - e.g. long form YouTube, internal headshots etc Maintain a swipe file and Motion board of video ads that inspire you - sharing new ideas Be willing to travel by plane and rail and stay overnight to visit clients with your colleagues Being disciplined and consistent with file storage, naming conventions and maintaining equipment.

What does success look like?



Deep understanding of our clients' brand, product and audiences, plus alignment to our company values within 3 months An understanding of how video content differs between organic social and performance ads/paid social within 3 months Positive NPS score and feedback from your clients/colleagues on your performance in 6 months In increase in delivery times and reduction in amends in your second 6 months vs. the first 6 months An demonstrable improvement in your clients' video performance metrics within 12 months (hard metrics: % of spend on video, ROAS/CPA, new customers and soft metrics: 75% video views, thumb stop rate, hold rate, click through rate)
