Video Production Team

Quilombo UK

With our annual

Solta O Jogo

coming up on the

17th

(rehearsal)

, 18th and 19th of October

, we're looking to build a reliable and creative crew to help film this live broadcast and to collaborate on many exciting opportunities to come. We've previously filmed documentaries, podcasts and informative videos for the Kingston Council, and we're continuing to grow our media work.

This role is especially well-suited for recent graduates or anyone looking to dust off the cobwebs and re-enter the industry, however, everyone is welcome to apply no matter your level of experience - we're all about building confidence and developing skills within our team!

Note: This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds with filming on location and admin work from the comfort of your own home.

Role Overview:



As part of the Video Production Team, you'll support the development of video content from concept to delivery.

We are looking for a Videographer/Media Researcher experienced in capturing the atmosphere and beauty of our productions. In this role, you'll work alongside a diverse team of creatives to research, film and record narratives that align with our mission.

This role is perfect for someone who's both hands-on with a camera and eager to dive into research by developing briefs and proposals.

Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day:



Conduct research to support briefs and proposals

Pitch creative ideas and contribute to the development of project proposals

Set up and operating cameras for various formats, from podcasts to live broadcasts

Collaborate in production meetings to plan shoots and coordinate logistics

Assist with lighting when needed

Assist/guide trainees on set

Take notes of the quality of filming

Who We're Looking For



Key Skills & Qualifications:



Experience: At least 12 months of experience using video cameras (desirable)

Education: Ideally studying or holding a degree in Film, Media, or a related field (desirable)

Experience with filming live events (desirable)

General knowledge of basic camera equipment and lighting

Creative with great research and communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Problem-solving mindset and willingness to adapt on the go
