Fixed Term for 18 months





Leeds Trinity University has made significant investment in recent years on the development of estate for the delivery of nursing and allied health education. We commenced the delivery of pre-registration nurse education in 2024 and now offer all four fields of practice, as well as our new Nursing Associate Apprenticeship programme. We are now developing our Allied Health Professions portfolio and we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced visiting lecturers from Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language therapy backgrounds to support this development.. Working alongside experienced allied health professional academics, responsibilities will include contribution to programme design, validation and approval, teaching design and delivery, marking and practical assessment, across all academic levels. You will contribute to teaching within our state-of-the-art clinical skills teaching facilities at our Horsforth campus and online. You will also contribute to the effective delivery of our developing allied health apprenticeship programmes, working with our apprenticeships team in assuring compliance with apprenticeship governance.



You will work as part of a multiprofessional team with our nursing, biomedical science and health and social care subject areas, contributing to teaching and learning that aligns with your specialism and experience.



Candidates should be an Occupational Therapist, or a Speech and Language therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), have significant clinical experience and if possible but not essential experience of working in higher education. Experience of academic programme development and approval is desirable. Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) is desirable.



This is a casual role, so hours will be as and when required to support curriculum development, teaching or marking. This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, Leeds. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview. We have recently opened a new campus in the city centre, there may be occasions where you will be required to work at this location.
