JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Teacher of Trumpet/Cornet to teach individual instrumental lessons at the Senior School from September 2025.

Hours are dependent on demand for lessons. Presently this is only for a small number of students but with potential to develop and expand this important area of the musical life of the school.

We offer a fantastic school community, and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant and thriving Music Department.

This will be a self-employed position.

The rate for our Visiting Music Teachers is 44 per hour (220 for 10 x 30 minute lessons).

WHY CHOOSE US

Kent College is a co-educational school located in Canterbury, just one hour from the center of London by train. The Senior School (11 - 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day. This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a happy, caring and successful school in which pupils feel supported and encouraged to aim for high standards of achievement and conduct.

The school was graded as excellent in all categories in the recent inspection conducted by ISI in October 2022, the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.
