What we do?

At Drumlanrig Castle, visitors are spoiled for choice. They can admire our magnificent Pink Palace, marvel at the stunning Victorian Gardens, take a guided tour, enjoy the woodland adventure playground, delight in the outdoors on our walks and bike trails, and treat themselves to tasty refreshments in our tearoom or Larchwood Cabin Cafe.

The role?

As Visitor Experience Assistant you'll greet guests on arrival, playing a key role in welcoming and engaging with our visitors. You will undertake a wide range of duties, mainly in the tearoom, but also in our gift shop and Larchwood Cabin Cafe when required, from selling tickets to serving food and drinks and clearing tables. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a hospitality environment and build confidence in a customer facing role. This is a seasonal role from July until the end of August, with variable hours, mostly during weekends.

The person?

You will be great with people, approachable, calm under pressure, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is required to work weekends and varied hours. Previous customer facing experience is a plus, but full training will be given. Candidates must have access to their own transport as public transport is not available.
