We are currently looking to recruit a Visual Impairment Rehabilitation worker for our Sensory Impairment Team.
On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Advanced Practitioner the successful post holder will be responsible for providing a professional rehabilitation service to adults and children with a visual impairment including mobility training and daily living skills and communication skills.
You will be required to hold a diploma or equivalent in Rehabilitation studies. You will have extensive experience of working with adults and children with visual impairment within the community.
You will be able to work autonomously and as part of team as well as multiagency working to ensure that the health and wellbeing of adults and children are paramount to service delivery and help to deliver excellent services to the residents of Bedford and Central Bedfordshire Boroughs.
You will have excellent verbal and communication skills as well as excellent computer literacy to maintain good case recording.
