Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week

Reporting to the Retail Development & Visual Manager and working as part of a retail team responsible for 70+ heritage attraction shops in Scotland, this is key role in the retail team. You will be responsible for managing visual merchandising and setting shop floor standards across all sites. You will also support all retail marketing through content development and brand application.

Key Responsibilities of this role
Delivery of the retail strategy.
Develop and implement the creative direction of all retail locations, ensuring correct application of brand and to appeal to the visitor demographic.
Manage application of all shop merchandising, either through onsite visits, working with site teams, or through issuing guidance and planograms for site delivery.
Decision making and problem solving on product locations, using expertise and initiative to maximise income and profits, while considering stock availability and staff management of displays.
Provide guidance on product to ensure consistency in look and feel, merchandising application and customer appeal.
Set and manage the creative direction of all in-store signage, promoting Scottish supplier messaging to support local businesses and ensuring consistent and on-brand pricing signage. Collaborate with colleagues in our Interpretations department, on delivery of all external shop signage.
Manage creative development for promotional materials, including photography, video, and styling. Develop a seasonal library of imagery.
Work with marketing colleagues on development and implementation of promotional calendar for all income channels.
Identify VM training needs and deliver appropriate training methods in a timely manner.
Support Retail Development and Visual Manager with project delivery and deputise in their absence.
Manage VM team invoicing and budgets.
Line management of Visual Merchandising Assistant.
Ensuring that all health and safety requirements are met when working at site.

Essential:
Proven experience of showing a creative and innovative in approach to visual merchandising at a multiple site retailer.
Ability to manage deadlines and adhere to critical paths, whilst working autonomously.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retail managers, and being able to influence decisions.
Analytical skills and ability to understand sales data.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Creative thinker and idea generator, with ability to see through to completion.
Good computer literacy and attention to detail.
Full UK driving license.
Willingness and ability to travel to remote sites as well as overnights stays.
