We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of virtualization solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in VMware environments and have a strong understanding of quantum engineering principles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects, ensuring scalable and secure virtual infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of our enterprise. The VMware Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, provide technical leadership, and ensure best practices are followed throughout all phases of deployment.

Responsibilities



Design and architect robust VMware virtualization solutions tailored to organizational requirements Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of VMware environments, ensuring high availability and performance Develop comprehensive strategies for disaster recovery, security, and capacity planning within virtual infrastructures Collaborate with network, security, and storage teams to integrate VMware solutions seamlessly into existing IT architecture Stay current with emerging trends in virtualization technology and quantum engineering to recommend innovative improvements Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and other stakeholders involved in virtualization projects Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of VMware environments to ensure operational excellence Document architecture designs, configurations, procedures, and best practices for ongoing reference and compliance

Skills



NSX & VMware Certifications a must Proven experience as a VMware Architect or senior virtualization engineer with a strong portfolio of successful deployments Deep understanding of VMware vSphere suite, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, NSX, vSAN, and related tools Knowledge of quantum engineering concepts and their application within virtualized environments is highly desirable Strong background in networking protocols, storage systems, and security best practices for virtual infrastructures Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly and effectively Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting technical solutions clearly Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), or equivalent are preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 80,000.00-100,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Belfast
