The Company: Reedbut Group Limited

The Reedbut Group designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. The business has three sites; Milton Keynes the head office, Andover and Strood, and is one of the leading independent sheet plants in the UK. The company has an annual turnover of more than 17 million and employs 90 people.

The business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials and are playing a leading role in the war against single use plastic.

Location:

Reedbut Group Central - North House Number 3, Bond Avenue, Milton Keynes, MK1 1JJ.

Position - VNA / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be given a detailed training plan that will offer a clear path of progression including an increase in salary to a maximum of 15.73p per hour.

Operating a counter-balance and VNA fork truck on a daily basis.

Unloading raw materials and ensuring they are stored in allocated areas.

Ensure our manufacturing machines are supplied with raw materials consistently to ensure zero downtime.

Daily operation of an RF Scanner.

Ensure finished goods are stored in designated loading areas or specific rack spaces.

Ensure you keep you working environment clean and tidy.

Adhering to company health and safety procedures.

Key skills:

A valid counterbalance fork truck license.

A valid VNA licence.

GCSE in Maths preferable.

Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Leadership qualities

Works well under pressure

Some knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering would be advantageous.

Suitable Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable and willing to learn a range of new skills. You will be expected to be on carrying out tasks set out for you by you Team Leader for the whole shift and will not be in a position to sit down apart from lunch breaks. You will be expected to be fit enough to lift up to 20 kilograms at any one time.

Hours and Location Of Work

Weekly Rotating Shifts:

5:30am to 2:00pm - Monday to Friday

2:00pm to 10pm - Monday to Thursday / 13:00pm to 10pm Friday

Holidays

The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days. Additional holidays are based on length of service up to a maximum of 25 days.

Salary

Basic level (no VNA experience, counter balance only) - 13.25 per hour

Experience level (VNA and counter balance experience) - 14.25 per hour

Annual profit share bonus - based on last year this was on average 900 per person. This can vary dependent on your performance.
