Hours of Work:

Full-time (35 hours per week)

Contract:

Permanent

Salary Range:

40,500 - 49,500 per annum

Target Salary:

46,350 per annum

Location:

Based at our NCC East College - Bircham Newton (Norfolk), with an element of cross-campus delivery to support curriculum needs at NCC South College - Erith (Kent).

Vocational Instructor - Plant Operations

to deliver high-quality training across our

National Construction Colleges.

What you'll be doing:

As a Plant Operations Instructor, you'll play a vital role in preparing learners for successful careers in construction. You'll:

Deliver practical and theoretical training on a range of plant machinery (e.g. excavators, dumpers, rollers) to apprentice and commercial learners Deliver CPCS assessments Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Contribute to course development and continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) vocational qualification directly related to the role Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role (e.g. CPCS, NPORS) Recent (within last 5 years), verifiable experience operating a range of plant machinery in the construction industry or allied sectors Excellent knowledge of current industry practices Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role) Assessor Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing) A passion for teaching and mentoring others Flexibility to work across both Bircham Newton and Erith campuses For full details, please refer to the Role Profile.*
