Voice Network Engineer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Voice Network Engineer to be based at their client\xe2\x80\x99s office in Bradford, UK.

You may be able to work some days remotely.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Job Purpose

  • Supporting the Mitel Telephony platform used across the organization.
  • Working within a small team of voice network engineers, this role is a varied and can be quite fast paced where no two days are the same. Managing 1st and 2nd line resolution to the telephony incidents and admin requests raised by internal colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Daily management and support of the telephony applications for our main sites and branch network.
  • Troubleshoot complex telephony problems across suppliers and departments using a logical and methodical approach.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of related projects and report on progress to Network Services Lead.
  • Provide on-call support out of core business hours to provide continued system support.
  • To ensure documentation meets the required standard and is kept centrally for all support services and systems.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling.
  • Expert knowledge of Mitel Voice Network Infra.
  • They need to be Mitel Accredited, but it\xe2\x80\x99s only a basic level needed MIVB and MICC basic administration level.
  • Must be SME with good working knowledge of Mitel Telephony platform.
  • Experience with Mitel Border Gateway, MiVoice Business, Mitel Contact Centre and Micollab preferred.
  • Experience with other Telephony applications such as Redbox call recording, Calabrio Workforce Management, Eckoh IVR, Noetica Dialler would be advantageous.
  • An appreciation or experience with IP based Cisco networks , LANS, switches and structured cabling is always beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with team management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
