An exciting job opportunity in Canterbury within Housing.



We are looking for a housing professional with a background in managing void properties. This post will work with housing services to ensure the void process for properties runs smoothly and there is continuous improvement to reduce void times.




The post will also lead on projects relating to voids and housing services to deliver positive outcomes. You will need to be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills.

About this Voids Co-ordinator Housing job:





This role will co-ordinator void services to ensure positive outcomes and value for money.




Here's what you'll get up to:


You will provide co-ordination and support to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the void services to minimise void turnaround times and relet properties or assets promptly. You will liaise with staff and contractors to effectively coordinate required actions and works for any voids. You will project manage service projects to deliver positive outcomes. You will monitor and audit performance of the service and proactively identify areas where improvement is required. Including tracking KPIs and monitoring/achieving strategic objectives relating to the service area.

Working pattern:




Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Full-Time Hybrid working Permanent




About you, the ideal Voids Co-ordinator for the job:


Your knowledge




Knowledge of the void process Knowledge of the construction industry / technical working environment including the documentational requirements of construction projects Knowledge of technical guidance on housing complaints Knowledge of housing repairs and defects (i.e disrepair)

Your experience




Experience of working with tenants/customers and stakeholders Experience working in a similar housing/building environment Able to prioritise workload in a busy environment Project management experience One Drive, Share point and some housing system experience would be beneficial

Your skills




Strong organisational skills and time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritse tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors and council staff.

Your qualifications




Maths and English - grade 4 or equivalent Degree in relevant field or relevant experience
