The Role

We are seeking an experienced

Voids Operative

with strong all-round multi-trade capability to deliver high-quality refurbishments within empty residential properties.
You will prepare and refurbish void homes to lettable standards, completing a wide range of works independently and working alongside specialist trades such as electricians, decorators and plasterers where required.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver full void property refurbishments, carrying out a broad range of multi-trade works. Undertake tasks including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting, decorating, patch plastering and basic flooring. Complete kitchen and bathroom installations or renewals as required. Identify, record and report additional works needed to bring properties to a lettable condition. Work within agreed turnaround times, ensuring efficient, high-quality work and "right first time" delivery. Coordinate with specialist trades (e.g., electricians, decorators, plasterers) when required. Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, building standards and company procedures. Accurately record work progress, materials used and completion information using handheld devices or job sheets. Maintain company tools, materials and vehicle in good working order.

About YouSkills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Proven experience delivering void refurbishments or domestic property upgrades. Strong all-round multi-trade skills, with the ability to independently complete a variety of refurbishment tasks. Competence in kitchen and bathroom fitting. Experience across multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, tiling, patch plastering and decorating. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes. Strong communication and customer service skills. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Experience working in social housing or void environments. Trade qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Basic IT or handheld device literacy for job reporting.
