We are looking for a highly professional and experienced Technician to join our team at Martins Volkswagen in Basingstoke.

Working with a dedicated and knowledgeable team, in a very well-established and reputable main dealer. Our customers include loyal owners of Volkswagen and Skoda cars and a busy New and Used Car Sales department. Martins Volkswagen is also a designated Electric Vehicle Repair and Battery Care Centre.

The Role:

This is a full time and permanent role. You will work 42.5 hours Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday morning in Four (as agreed in a rota shared equally between you and your colleagues.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Perform maintenance, repairs and / or diagnostics on the full range of Volkswagen & Skoda passenger cars. Maximising efficiency, while always maintaining company and industry standards and benchmarks. Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the manufacturers repair methods. Utilise Company and VAG systems to record and monitor detailed explanations of all work carried out. Providing your colleagues and our customers with highly detailed explanations of work required, or work carried out. Through face to face and video communications. Expand your knowledge through the completion of Volkswagen training modules, as required to ensure your knowledge and understanding of the product is maintained to the required level. To show respect to your colleagues and maintain your work area to company standards, ensure an excellent and safe work environment.

Your Qualifications:

You will be a fully trained and experienced Service or Diagnostic Technician. Certified to NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent to a Level 3 manufacturers qualification. Electric Vehicle maintenance and repair qualifications are an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided. VAG Group Accreditation is preferred, or equivalent main dealer experience.

We offer a highly competitive basic salary of 36,000 for VAG accredited service technicians, plus a monthly bonus and overtime opportunities OTE 42,000+

You will receive 30 days leave each year (including bank holidays).
