Job Description

Llandudno FC is seeking an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Head of Grassroots Football to lead and oversee the development and day-to-day operation of the club's grassroots programme.

This pivotal role supports both the Boys and Girls sections, ensuring strong player development pathways that connect with the Ladies, Reserve, and First Teams as the club strives toward Cymru Premier football.

Key Responsibilities



Manage the smooth operation of all grassroots football activities, covering both Boys and Girls sections. Liaise with General Manager to allocate pitch space for training sessions and matches, ensuring fair and efficient scheduling across all age groups. Work closely with the First Team staff to provide ball assistants for every home fixture, maintaining professionalism and coordination with the match day operations team. Collaborate with the Ladies and Reserve Teams to ensure a clear and consistent player progression pathway from youth to senior football. Lead and coordinate meetings with volunteer coaches, providing support, structure, and guidance within an established footballing framework. Encourage coach recruitment and development to strengthen the club's coaching network and standards of delivery. Work closely with the Business Development Executive ensuring grassroots teams sponsors benefit from a strong relationship with Llandudno FC. Provide regular updates to the Club's Board of Directors on grassroots operations, player development, sponsorship ties, and strategic progress. Collaborate directly with the Club Secretary to ensure compliance with FAW guidelines, safeguarding requirements, and administrative procedures. Promote the club's values, culture, and vision across all youth levels, encouraging inclusivity and community involvement. Be adaptable, proactive, and ready to embrace change as the club grows and evolves. Requirements Minimum FAW/UEFA C Licence in football coaching (or equivalent). Proven experience in managing youth or grassroots football programmes. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and organise volunteer coaches. Excellent planning, Time management, and problem-solving abilities. A positive, driven attitude and readiness to embrace new initiatives and change. Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and progressive footballing environment. Understanding of player development, sponsor integration, and community engagement.

Hours and Remuneration



Part-time voluntary position with flexible hours, including evening and weekend work. Attendance required at key meetings, training sessions, and fixtures. Free entry to all Llandudno FC fixtures. Free hot drinks and post-match food provided when attending home matches or club events. Expenses may be covered as agreed with the club.
