Are you passionate about community, organisation, and making a real impact? We're looking for a dynamic Volunteers Officer to join our team and contribute to our incredible volunteers who deliver and support services within the community as well as the services we provide to our residents.


As our Volunteers Officer, you'll be the heartbeat of our volunteer service, working directly with enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to developing new and exciting volunteering roles and experiences. You'll be part of a team that coordinates exciting events, nurture relationships, and inspire our volunteers to reach their full potential. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our service runs smoothly and our community continues to thrive.

You'll be at the heart of supporting and developing volunteer activities, providing high-quality support to a diverse group of volunteers who bring unique personalities, skills, and abilities. You'll promote a range of volunteering opportunities, attend networking events, and collaborate with third-sector volunteer services. Every day is different! You'll work both independently and as part of a supportive team, using your initiative to adapt to new challenges. You'll use electronic systems to coordinate volunteer activities, so confidence with computers is a must.

What You'll Do:



Match volunteers with suitable roles, ensuring they can make a meaningful impact. Build positive relationships with families who benefit from the respite care our volunteers provide. Support vulnerable people with empathy and sensitivity, understanding their needs and those of their carers.

What You Need:



Experience in supporting vulnerable people and a good understanding of carers' needs and issues. Knowledge of Lancashire Volunteer Partnership (LVP) and Council policies and procedures to perform your role safely and effectively.
