About Us


Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust is a registered charity based in Ellesmere Port. We support individuals, families, and grassroots organisations by funding and delivering high-impact initiatives -- from emergency essentials to education and mental health services.

Alongside our charitable work, we manage Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre, home to 50 local businesses. As part of our strategic development, we are undergoing a digital transformation, rebranding our organisation, and expanding our community partnerships -- and we're inviting you to be part of that journey.

About the Role


This voluntary placement is part of our highly successful ongoing programme, designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience to someone passionate about business, marketing, and social impact.

In this intake, the core focus will be on

digital transformation and operational sustainability

. As we work towards becoming a paperless organisation, you'll lead a key project to research and evaluate digital contract platforms (e.g. Adobe Sign, DocuSign, Signable). This includes reviewing functionality, cost, user experience, and providing recommendations for implementation.

You'll also explore ways to enhance internal digital communications across the 50+ businesses we support -- helping to build a more connected and collaborative environment within our Business Centre.

In addition to your main project, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of tasks, including:

Supporting social media campaigns and public messaging Designing and deploying creative point-of-sale signage Assisting with business centre operations and tenant engagement Helping deliver major projects like our

You'll work closely with the Head of Trust and be part of a small, dynamic team that values creativity, initiative, and community impact.

Candidate Requirements



Final-year student, recent graduate, or postgraduate in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or digital design) Passionate about charitable work and community-led initiatives Strong organisational and communication skills Able to commit to two on-site working days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays preferred, 9:00am-5:00pm -- flexibility can be discussed)
