An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent communication skills to assist with the development and growth of Volunteering services within the local communities of Cardiff.
About the job

The successful candidate will encourage, support and coordinate the activities of volunteer dementia community ambassadors. This is a new initiative and the successful candidate will possess creativity and innovative thinking.
What We Are Looking For From You

You will help develop a training programme in collaboration with partners and act as a point of contact for businesses who aspire to Dementia Friendly action. You will have had experience of working with community organisations as well as experience of supporting and managing volunteers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and IT skills and will have experience of working in a professional face to face environment and a flexible, understanding approach. Ideally you will have experience of managing, training, coaching others and have the ability to coordinate a volunteering service.

This post is temporary until 31/03/2024. Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). The relevant Chief Officer may only approve requests or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools-based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body. This vacancy is suitable for post share. The location of work may vary. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring service Enhanced check.
