Overview
Preserving Preston's Heritage CIC is a community-led group working to protect and repurpose the city's historic buildings. Starting with the campaign to save the historically significant, former Tithebarn pub in Preston Lancashire.
We're looking for a volunteer legal advisor to join our small team of experts who all volunteer there time to protect beautiful historical buildings in Preston. We need help to guide us through the next stages of our work.
About You -
You'll provide clear, practical advice to support community ownership and heritage protection in Preston.
We're looking for someone with experience in
:Property or planning law
Charity or community interest company law
Asset transfer or lease agreements
Governance and compliance
What you'll do
-Advise the board on legal matters related to our heritage projects
Review and comment on key documents or proposals
Help shape a sustainable legal framework for our community-led work
You'll fit this role if you
-Are qualified, retired or trainee legal professional
Care about Preston, heritage and community regeneration
Can offer a few hours of your time each month
