About Us



No More Waste Technologies is a social impact startup tackling two of society's biggest challenges: food waste and food insecurity.

We are building a technology-driven marketplace that connects surplus food from merchants with charities, food banks, and communities in need, reducing waste while creating measurable social and environmental impact.

We are currently developing our MVP and preparing for a pilot launch in Chester, Cheshire and North Wales This is an exciting moment to join early and help shape how the product reaches the market.

The Role



We are looking for a hands-on, growth-oriented Marketing Manager to lead our early go-to-market efforts and help drive awareness, adoption, and engagement for our MVP.

This is a

volunteer role

, ideal for someone who:

Wants real ownership in an early-stage startup Is excited by mission-driven work Enjoys building things from scratch Is comfortable working in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments
You will work closely with the Founder, Finance, Product, Technical, Business Development and Corporate Services teams, playing a key role in shaping how No More Waste Technologies is positioned to users, partners, and supporters.

Responsibilities



Go-to-Market & Launch Strategy

Define and execute the MVP launch plan, including positioning and messaging Identify early adopter segments (merchants, charities, consumers) Select and test acquisition channels to drive early traction Coordinate launch activities with product and engineering teams
Content, Brand & Messaging

Develop clear value propositions for different user groups Create website copy, landing pages, and email campaigns Produce social media content, blog posts, and PR materials Support pitch decks, demos, and storytelling for partners and investors
Early User Growth & Engagement

Build and nurture early communities (LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, etc.) Engage pilot users to collect feedback, testimonials, and case studies Design simple referral or incentive programs to encourage adoption
Partnerships & PR

Identify and support partnerships that amplify reach and credibility Pitch stories to relevant media, platforms, and ecosystem partners Support webinars, launch events, and demo sessions if needed
Feedback & Iteration

Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative user feedback Work closely with product and engineering teams to inform iteration Help refine messaging based on real-world user behaviour

Key Skills and experience



Experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or content marketing Strong copywriting and storytelling skills Comfortable using data and insights to guide decisions Experience building or managing online communities is a plus Familiarity with early-stage startups, MVP launches, or tech products Passion for social impact, sustainability, or food systems
