is an award-winning charity established in 2001 to promote integration and support the refugee and migrant community. Across the UK, we work to empower refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan and neighbouring countries by providing vital services that enable successful integration. These include English classes, mentoring, drop-in advice sessions, employment and education training, counter-extremism workshops, and youth and women's engagement programmes.

2-10 per week (flexible and online)
Role Summary
As part of our dynamic ESOL teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering online English lessons to refugees and asylum seekers from diverse backgrounds.
We are specifically looking for volunteer teachers to deliver
Pre-Entry, Entry 1 (A1), Entry 2 (A2)
and
Entry 3 (B1)
ESOL classes, online to students in the UK and internationally
You will have opportunities to shadow experienced teachers, gain hands-on classroom experience, and participate in CPD (continued professional development) training sessions. As you progress, you will take on greater responsibility and develop your teaching role.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering ESOL lessons at Pre-Entry to Entry 3 (B1) levels
Preparing classroom materials, weekly handouts, coursework, and homework
Assessing students' classwork and assignments
Creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
Encouraging academic progress while helping students develop personal and employability skills
Setting clear and effective learning targets
Motivating and supporting students to build confidence and achieve qualifications
Person Specification
Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential--full support is provided
ESOL qualifications (CELTA, TEFL, TESOL) or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong listening skills and empathy
Planning and organisational abilities
DBS check or willingness to obtain one
