No More Waste Technologies is a social impact startup on a mission to fight food waste and hunger with technology. Our marketplace platform, connects surplus food from merchants with charities, food banks, and individuals in need.
We're currently building our MVP for a pilot project in one of UK's big city-- and we need a passionate Product Manager with a strong UX and user-centred mindset to help us shape an app that's simple, intuitive, and life-changing.
The Role
As our Product Manager, reporting to the CEO, you'll focus on UX strategy and delivery, ensuring our platform is easy to use for all stakeholders: retailers, volunteer couriers, food banks, and eventually individual customers. You'll collaborate closely with our developers, designers, and leadership team to define product requirements, prioritise features, and test solutions that make a real-world difference.
This is a voluntary role at the early stage, but with the potential to grow into a paid leadership role with equity as we scale and secure funding.
Key Responsibilities
Own and refine the user experience across web and mobile.
Translate the needs of charities, couriers, retailers, and users into clear product requirements.
Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to test concepts quickly.
Run lightweight user research (surveys, interviews, feedback loops).
Work with developers to ensure features are delivered on time and aligned with user needs.
Prioritise features for MVP and iterate based on pilot feedback.
Ensure the product balances simplicity, accessibility, and scalability.
Requirements
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centred design.
Experience as a Product Manager, UX Designer, or similar role.
Ability to create clear product roadmaps and collaborate with technical teams.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Comfortable working in a startup/volunteer environment with limited resources.
