Are you excited by the idea of using data to help decide our future bestsellers? At Barnardo's, our New Goods team plays a key role in supporting our mission. We source, develop, and deliver new products to our retail stores and online shop--carefully selecting items that complement our preloved range. These products are sold across the UK, helping us raise essential funds for children, young people, and their families. Due to the nature of this role you will need to be available to volunteer on Monday mornings as this is when the team meeting is held.*

Tasks: Analyse sale performance to be used at the weekly trade meeting and reports


Using research to create competitor analysis packs



Creating our Top 10 Best Seller report



Preparing PO Request Forms which will include providing the team with all the relevant product details



Liaising with our suppliers



Updating relevant documents including critical paths and range plans



Taking meeting minutes and distributing these to attendees



Mostly remote working but may be asked to go on visits to stores



Skills: Experience or interest in the buying process for retail


Experience or interest in sales analysis



Have a flare for creativity



Good proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook



Excellent written and verbal communications skills



The ability to remain professional when working with confidential information



Enthusiaism to grow and work as part of the team



Happy to have a flexibility approach to volunteering and the ability to multitask
