About the Role
To deliver a professional, proactive, and responsive Volunteer Service the post holder will play a key role in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers across all departments, ensuring a seamless volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with policies and DBS requirements.
Support and coordinate volunteers across departments, including managing leavers.
Produce reports on volunteer activity, hours, and recruitment data.
Improve volunteer service processes and support the delivery of new volunteer-led projects.
Assist with information governance responsibilities and maintain data security standards.
Provide general administrative support to the Volunteer Service team.
What You'll Bring
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to build positive relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels.
Organisational and administrative ability - capable of managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
Experience in volunteer management or recruitment - ideally within a healthcare, charity, or community setting.
Proactive and solution-focused mindset - with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Understanding of confidentiality and compliance - including data protection, safeguarding, and DBS requirements.
Confidence using IT systems - including databases, Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., Volunteer Management System).
Empathy and a people-first approach - aligned with the values of supporting individuals with life-limiting conditions.
