Volunteer Role: Social Media Team Member Organisation: 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts Location: Remote / Local to Ramsgate Time commitment: Flexible - approx. 1-2 hours per week Reports to: Group Lead Volunteer Role Purpose: Help us shout about the amazing things our young people get up to! From campfire fun to community projects, you'll capture and share moments that inspire others to get involved, support the group, or even volunteer. What you'll do: Create and schedule posts on platforms like Facebook and Instagram Share updates from leaders and events across Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers Promote events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising activities Snap photos or collect images from others (no photography experience needed!) Help keep our online presence friendly, engaging and in line with Scout values What we're looking for: Someone with basic knowledge of social media (posting, sharing, stories, etc.) Creative eye for what makes a great post - enthusiasm is more important than experience! A positive tone and respect for privacy/safeguarding A team player who can work with occasional quick turnarounds What you'll gain: Be part of a welcoming, passionate Scout team Use and grow your digital/media skills Make a real difference by raising our profile in the local community Support young people in a fun and flexible way - no tent pitching required (unless you want to!)
