Summary

We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in Tiverton working together with our Community Volunteer Service Lead. This vital role involves organising and supporting volunteer activities that empower community members and enhance our projects' impact and developing a brand new Volunteer Hub in Tiverton. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a key part in strengthening our mission of community development and advocacy.

Responsibilities

Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training processes. Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies. Collaborate with community partners to identify volunteer opportunities. Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and contributions. Promote inclusive practices ensuring easy read and accessible participation. Organise events and activities that encourage community involvement. Provide support and guidance to volunteers to foster a positive environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement. Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of dementia care or related fields is advantageous. Proficiency in IT tools for record-keeping and communication. Passion for social inclusion and community development. Ability to motivate and support volunteers effectively.
