About Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C.


Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is a survivor-led, Black and minority ethnic (BAME)-led grassroots organisation committed to breaking the silence around child sexual abuse (CSA) within our communities. We are building a movement that combines truth-telling, advocacy, and community-led action to create lasting change.

As our work grows, we are developing digital platforms to showcase our initiatives, connect with survivors and allies, and provide resources that empower and heal. To achieve this, we are seeking a talented

Volunteer Website Developer (Back & Front End)

who can help us design, build, and maintain a professional, user-friendly, and secure website.

The Role - Volunteer Website Developer


We're looking for a committed developer who has either:

A

degree in computer science / software engineering / web development

, OR Strong,

evidenced passion and experience

in full-stack web development (portfolio, past projects, demonstrable skills).
You will work with our leadership team to bring our digital vision to life, ensuring our online presence reflects the grassroots yet professional nature of our work.

Responsibilities:



Develop and maintain our CIC website (front-end and back-end). Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and accessible across devices. Build secure systems for volunteer sign-ups, event registrations, and member access. Collaborate with the team to integrate content, media, and community-driven resources. Ensure strong data protection, safeguarding, and compliance measures are in place. Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and updates.

What We're Looking For:



Degree in computer science/software engineering/web development

OR

strong proven experience in website development (portfolio required). Proficiency in both

front-end

(HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.) and

back-end

(Node.js, PHP, Python, databases) technologies. Understanding of

UX/UI principles

, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness. Experience with hosting, security, and GDPR compliance. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to commit for at least

6 months

. Passion for grassroots, survivor-led, and BAME-led community initiatives.

This is a

voluntary position

. There is no financial payment for this role. Please apply only if you are open to contributing your skills and time voluntarily. As the CIC grows and secures funding, there may be opportunities for paid roles in the future.
