Exciting Opportunity: Volunteering Team Leader.
Are you passionate about the power of volunteering and its role in transforming lives? We're looking for a dynamic Volunteering Team Lead to shape and grow a vibrant volunteer programme that truly enhances our services. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do--bringing fresh perspectives, valuable skills, and vital support that enrich the experiences of both staff and service users. You'll work closely with staff, management, and the people we support to identify how volunteers can make a meaningful impact and help us deliver even more effective, person-centred services.
In this rewarding role, you'll be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse range of volunteers, placing them across projects and within the wider community. You'll ensure each placement promotes personal development and fulfilment by delivering training directly and identifying growth opportunities along the way. Location: Manchester
Hours: Full Time 37.5 per week,
Full Time Salary Range: 35,220.59 - 37,184.91 dependent on experience (based on full time working hours pro rata for part time)
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the Role
Collaborate with the Service Manager and staff to identify opportunities for meaningful volunteer involvement.
Develop and implement plans for ongoing volunteer recruitment and placement.
Continuously improve the volunteering offer to meet evolving service needs.
Deliver and assess accredited and regulated training packages to support volunteer development.
Train and support staff to effectively supervise and develop volunteers.
Promote and support the welfare and wellbeing of volunteers, addressing concerns proactively with the Regional Volunteer Coordinator and Service Manager.
Work alongside the BRIC/SUI Lead to support volunteer-led events, activities, and service user engagement.
About You
Experience delivering training and learning opportunities to others.
Strong understanding of professional boundaries in the workplace.
Excellent time management and the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong teamworking and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, supportive approach.
Experience in recruiting, managing, and training volunteers (desirable).
A relevant training and assessment qualification (desirable).
